2023 Desire Lines Lichau Hill Cabernet
(94+ points, Antonio Galloni - Vinous)

The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Lichau Hill Vineyard offers up scents of bay leaf, coffee, dried herbs, gravel and incense. This mid-weight, savory Cabernet Sauvignon exudes old California character. This rocky site in the Petaluma Gap planted at 1,200 feet in elevation yields wines of real distinction. Savory, earthy and structured, the 2023 is a gorgeous wine to savor for the next two decades or more. I loved it.

2023 arnot roberts sonoma county cabernet

Our objective in crafting this wine was to source fruit from sites that showcase Cabernet Sauvignon while yielding softer structure that could be enjoyed upon release. Sourced from two incredible Sonoma vineyards: Bedrock and Lichau Hill... The beautiful Lichau Hill Vineyard is planted southwest of Bedrock, high on the western flank of Sonoma Mountain. This extremely rocky and cool site is exposed to the constant cooling breezes blowing in from the Petaluma Gap.

2022 Desire Lines Lichau Hill Cabernet
(94 points, Antonio Galloni - Vinous)

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Lichau Hill Vineyard is seriously impressive. Bold and punchy, the 2022 is bursting at the seams with character. Wild cherry, cedar, dried herbs, pipe tobacco and incense soar from the glass. This site in the cold Petaluma Gap dealt with the stress of the growing season well, as 2022 Lichau Hill is drop-dead gorgeous. Readers should expect an old-school Cabernet Sauvignon that melds together bold fruit and strong savory notes. This is flat-out delicious.
— Antonio Galloni (Vinous), 2025

2021 Desire Lines Lichau Hill Cabernet
(93+ POINTS, John Gilman)

The wine is beautifully old school in personality, offering superb depth in its aromatic constellation of sweet cassis, tobacco leaf, dark soil tones, cigar smoke, dark soil tones, cedary oak and just a whisper of mint hovering in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure in profile, with a rock solid core of fruit, buried, chewy tannins, a good base of soil and a long, nascently complex and impeccably balanced finish.
— John Gilman, 2024

2019 Desire Lines Lichau Hill Cabernet
(92 points, antonio galloni)

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Lichau Hill Vineyard is a deeply intriguing wine that melds together the intensely perfumed, savory personality of this cool-climate region with the mid-weight structure that is such a signature of the house style. There’s a lot of elegance here, and tons of personality too.
— Antonio Galloni, July 2021

2018 Desire Lines Lichau Hill Cabernet
(90 points, Antonio Galloni)

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Lichau Hill Vineyard is an attractive wine marked more by an approach that seeks freshness and energy, but some of that comes at the expression of both varietal and site character.
— Antonio Galloni, January 2020

2018 Adobe Road Lichau Hill Cabernet
(91 POINTS, Jeb Dunnock)

2017 Adobe Road Lichau Hill Cabernet
(90 Points, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate)

Deep ruby-purple, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Lichau Hills Vineyard has intense aromas of mint leaves, bitter chocolate with black cherry fruits and notes of coffee beans and vanilla. The palate is full and firm with dense black fruits, grippy tannins and just enough freshness on the finish. It’s a bit of a one-hit-wonder with that pervasive minty character.
— Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate (June 2021)

2016 Sanglier Family Reserve Cabernet
(Double Gold, 2018 Sonoma County Fair)

2015 Sanglier Left Tusque Cabernet
(92 points, Wine Enthusiast)

Thick and herbaceous, with a trail of bright red currant, cherry and cassis, this is a broadly expansive and well-made wine, elegantly balanced and restrained in style. It delivers plenty of fruit within a context of structure and seamless texture.
— Virginie Boone, June 2019
